Eveline Blanchard

French
(1946-2008)

Eveline Blanchard was the youngest daughter of Antoine Blanchard, one of the most famous and collectable Parisian street scene painters of the 20th Century. Eveline spent several years in Provence which she loved for the beauty of its peaceful scenery. She continued her painting studies under the supervision and guidance of the famous painter L. Potronat, a friend of her father. It is then that Eveline became a true artist and showed her talent and mastery which has won her high regards. With great confidence in herself and the quality of her paintings, she rejoined her father in Paris to work together with him recapturing the atmosphere of turn of the century Paris thus reviving the spirit of "La Belle Époque". After her father's death, Eveline committed herself and her painting to keeping alive the memory of the most romantic subject that her father painted the Parisian street scene. Only she could depict Paris at the turn of the century with the same charm, romance, and poise that her father Antoine Blanchard did. She continued in the tradition of great Parisian painters with quality and style, which has earned her the highest acclaim among contemporary artists and collectors through out the world. With Eveline the tradition that is "Blanchard" will live forever.
